An old castle,well maintained. Nice for outdoor shooting. Can park about 10 cars.

Good place to visit. Historical place obviously. Be sure to be here when the curator is around. She sure knows her stuff. Look for FB Istana Bandar

This is a very old building. Higher maintenance is needed to maintain this place. No entrance fees charged. The place is quite deep in however easy accessible. After the Istana, you may proceed to Jugra Insitu Museum. Good for day trip.

It is well keep but lack of information, promotion and really empty inside. If the museum authority can take over and put up signage on the function of each room and hall including the empty preserved kitchen, it will be great

The building must have been majestic during its time. Combination of Moorish, Chinese and one more element that I've forgotten. It consists of two-storeys with 40 bedrooms and pool with garden (what's left of it). The castle is left bare, I hope that the state could use it for cultural events. Watch for the awan larat aka decorations on the ceiling or pathways. Pretty I must say. There's a nearby mosque built by the same Sultan nearby, a beauty too!
